If you struggle with debt, you have lots of company. According to a CNBC report, debt is a way of life, with more than 80% of Americans carrying some level of debt and much of it related to home mortgages. “Some 69 percent of the survey respondents indicated that while non-mortgage debt was a necessity for them, they preferred not to have it—but 68 percent said loans and credit cards had enabled them to make purchases or investments that expanded their opportunities,” the report stated.
